Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible

Job duties:

·         Clean and prepare surfaces

·         Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency

·         Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster

·         Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exterior surfaces

·         Finish corners and angles

·         Create decorative designs in finish coat

·         Mould and install ornamental fixtures

·         Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings

·         Measure, cut and fit and install drywall sheets

·         Cut and install metal corner beads

·         Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks

·         Tape over joints with tape and compound

·         Sand seams and joints

·         Fabricate grids for acoustical and coffered ceilings

·          Install metal stud framing and furring

·         Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring

·         Cut openings in laths for piping, ducts and electrical outlets

·         Utilize laser alignment system

·         Install exterior and interior steel studs

·         Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation

·         Erect scaffolding

·         Check quality is satisfying at the end of day

Requirements:

-Education: Completion of high school

-Experience:  A minimum of three years of experience is required. If the candidate does not have at least 3 years of experience a post secondary certificate is required

-Heavy Lifting may be required up to 75 lbs

Salary: $24.81 to $30.00 hourly, 40.00 Hours per week

Other:

This position will require working some weekends and periodic overtime. On call shifts are once a month for a week and that includes the weekend.
